  1. What Hardware Do I Need?
    1. All you need is a webcam and a mic hooked up to your PC (OS - Windows XP SP2>) or Mac (OS X 10.4 >)
    2. Some webcams come with a built-in mic, but for the best results we recommend using a separate mic
    3. You can buy them anywhere, or you can buy them HERE.
  2. What Software Do I Need?
    1. Hopefully none! Most PC's come pre-loaded with basic video capture and editing software that you need. Windows Movie Maker is the most common application. If you use a Mac iMovie works great too. Many of the webcams also include video capture and basic editing software - so you shouldn't have to BUY anything!
    2. A supported Web Browser - We currently support Firefox (PC,Mac,Linux), Internet Explorer 7 (PC), Internet Explorer 8 (PC - using compatibitlity mode), Opera 9 (PC,Mac,Linux) and Safari 4 (Mac).
    3. You'll also need the latest version of the Flash Player
  3. What Type of Internet Connection Do I Need?
    1. Dial up won't do! You need a high speed connection like DSL, Cable or ISDN to take advantage of all that video has to offer.
  4. How Many Videos Can I Upload?
    1. Currently there is NO LMIT to how many videos you can upload. However, your active archive can only display 20 at a time.
  5. What is the maximum video length or duration?
    1. Because different quality video will encode differently we don't limit videos by length of duration, but by maximum file size. Currently the maximum file size is 75 megabytes per video.
  6. Can I Decide Which Videos Are Viewable?
    1. Absolutely! You decide if you make a video for one person or your whole database. You also decide if a video becomes a part of your viewable archive for others to view at a later date. You can add or remove videos from your archive anytime.
  7. Can I replace my existing Database Solution?
    1. Yes. Many people chose to use VME 2.0 as their complete sales database solution. Others simply incorporate the VME functionality into their established database systems. What's best for your business is up to you to decide.
  8. How Secure is My Data?
    1. As secure as anywhere else! We use the same cutting edge technology to keep your data safe as the other guys useing the highest level of security available (256 bit Secure Sockets Layer).
    2. Your data is your data! We don't sell, share or use the contact information from your database. Period.
  9. REGARDING SPAM
    1. NO NO NO NO & NO - In case that wasn't clear enough - NO SPAMMING!!
    2. The VME 2.0 is designed for your OWN database of clients and partners and "Opt-In" prospects. The VME 2.0 is in no way to be used with 3rd party, purchased email lists for email solicitation (SPAMMING).
    3. Per the Terms and Agreement for membership...If we detect that a PURCHASED LIST (and we have ways!) has been uploaded to your database you will be immediately contacted and your account suspended pending review.
    4. There are companies for MASS EMAIL MARKETING - but we're not it!
  10. Do I have to commit to a contract?
    1. Not at all! You can pay month to month with no obligation for only $49.95 a month.

  13. What video formats are supported?
    1. We support the most common formats for digital video upload - wmv, mov and mpg - We don't support HD video at this time.
